Easy Refund users friends,
This morning we recorded our firsts downloads on Google Market of the
free application "Free Easy Refund", available since March 8, 2011.
We are happy to finally launch this product in Google Market. The
official launch took place at Campus Party 2011 on Jan. 18th during a
talk given by Caio, co-founder of the product. Until the day, March
8th, 2011, the application was available only for the tests of people
registered as a Beta tester of the product, but not available for
download on Google Market.
The Easy Refund began to be conceptualized in 2009 and only began to
be codified in September 2010. Since this date we are working and
testing this application to finally launch a product that can help you
in your traveling life.
It all started when one of the founders, our friend Caio Moreno de
Souza (@ caiomsouza), felt the great difficulty in managing his travel
expenses. In his professional life Caio travels extensively and often
his expenses are reimbursed by his clients.
Every trip was the same thing: register into an Excel spreadsheet or
on paper costs, use the calculator to add all the expenses and finally
sent to the client. That sounds simple, but people who travel a lot
will quickly identify with this situation and think: ''wow, this is
very annoying.''
It was then that the idea was conceived: to create a cellphone program
where a person could register each of the trips and have a control, in
real time, of his/her expenses and get, without difficulty, the
control of the travel's expenses. After the trip the user can export
the information to a CSV file and send it to his/her client or even
perform graphics, etc..
Having the idea does not always mean executing the idea. So, after a
good time, @ caiomsouza decided the program needed to be finally
encoded, and started to code during his "free time" the early versions
of Easy Refund.
After some versions, Caio decided to invite Fausto Koga to help him
with the development of future products, and since then they develop
the product Easy Refund.
Faust and Caio, met in the Specialization in Java technology that they
took in UTFPR (Federal Technological University of Paraná) during the
period 2009-2010. There they had their first contacts with the Google
Android OS, and since then, due to the simplicity of the Java's
language and of the Android OS, they decided to launch the first
version of the application only for Android phones.
The next steps of the application are also run on the BlackBerry and iPhone.
Besides the free version available on Google Market, the team is
working on the Easy Refund corporate versions that are purchased
through the e-mail reembolsofacil@reembolsofacil.
The corporate versions are developed and tailored to the needs of each
client. In general they follow the same line and have some
customization, but they have a timing of expenses and travel with a
web server, web interface for management of expenses, expense reports,
OLAP cubes, user control, integration with the company's ERP and
support to users.
Our goal is to cater to all types of customers.
